The illustration below shows the Lotus Elan engine mount profiles.
Placing the mounts side by side also shows the offset or difference in height which is 10mm approximately.
For Elan's with Weber or Dellorto carburettors fitted as standard equipment, the following two engine mounts should be installed.
The right hand (inlet side) mount is Lotus only and has the part number A074E0549
The left hand (exhaust side) Ford mount has the part number X026E6011
Note carefully - The above illustration is only applicable when the Lotus 701M or Ford 120E cylinder block is used.
For anyone using a 711M cylinder block in an Lotus Elan, then use two engine mounts of the same type X026E6011
Using the same mountings with a 711M cylinder block will allow the cam cover to clear underneath the bonnet when closed

Engine mount spacer, exhaust 711M cylinder block = 0.875" long
Engine mount bolt, exhaust 701M cylinder block = 5/16"UNC x 1.750" long
Engine mount bolt, exhaust 711M cylinder block = 5/16"UNC x 1.500" long
Engine mount bolt, inlet 701M & 711M cylinder block = 5/16"UNC x 0.750" long
When replacing the exhaust engine mount, Lotus Marques recommends fitting a heat shield to extend the service life of the new rubber engine mount.
